New Chance would like to thank Sue Lancaster from Essential Yoga & Fitness in Elkhorn for putting together our first Zumba® Dance Party fundraiser on Nov 1, 2009. We could not have done this without Bill Rogers, from Evergreen Golf Club in Elkhorn for allowing us to use their beautiful facility, food contributions from Piggly Wiggly and Sentry, and the talented Zumba® instructors; Leticia Mayorga, Jeremiah Micolichek, Jacque Tertany, Lolleen Mendez, Chris Jansen and Liz Bach. Also, thanks to the Elkhorn Area School District and Amy Kazda for allowing us to use their staging for this event. Budget cuts from Health and Human Services and school districts make it harder to serve teens at risk of not graduating. This requires us to raise funds in order to continue providing services to them. While the number of students that are being referred to us are declining due to cost, the drop out rate in our area and around our country is increasing. To neglect these problems now will create more cost to taxpayers in the future. Your help is needed now more than ever. Thank you.
